Binance dismissed the claims suggesting that the exchange platform has frozen the funds of all Palestinians; the latter is partially true as only several accounts were affected.
As per several sources from a leading industry executive, major world crypto exchange Binance froze Palestinians’ funds, at the request of Israel.
The co-founder of the peer-to-peer (P2P) crypto platform Paxful, Ray Youssef, and now the CEO at Noones P2P platform, shared on X on Aug. 26 that Binance froze Palestinians’ funds at the request of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
“Binance has taken all Palestinians’ money according to the IDF. They don’t want to give the money back,” Youssef wrote, stating sources: An actual/Dear Binance received via Israel authorities.
He noted that the erosion was for all Palestinians, and forecasted further other countries such as Lebanon and Syria to be vulnerable.

Binance reportedly cited a letter from Israeli’s Ministry of Defense in response to appeals from Palestinians
Worse still, Naseem Youssef claims Binance pointed to a letter signed on November 23, 2020, by Israel’s National Bureau for Counter Terror Financing and Paul Landes in response to the Palestinian user’s plea for the blocked funds to be restored.
